FAQs
Acupuncture, along with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), is both a primary and preventive form of healthcare. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including:
Chronic and acute pain (e.g., back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches)
Hormonal imbalances (e.g., PMS, menopause, fertility issues)
Immune system support (e.g., cold, flu, seasonal allergies)
Chronic health issues (e.g., autoimmune disorders, digestive problems)
Mental health concerns (e.g., stress, anxiety, depression)
Cosmetic concerns (e.g., fine lines, skin tone, puffiness)
In addition to treating illness, acupuncture is often used as preventive care. Regular sessions can help maintain balance in the body, reduce the risk of injury or illness, and boost overall immunity.
Cosmetic acupuncture is a popular natural alternative to injections and can also be used to enhance or extend the effects of other cosmetic procedures.
Acupuncture is meant to be very relaxing, and patients often fall asleep during treatment. The needles used are so tiny, they are often compared to a cat’s whisker, or human hair and are not often felt. While you may feel the occasional pinch, any pain will only last about a second. Acupuncture is also extremely safe with minimal side effects.
Yes! Many children get treatment that can include acu-pressure, herbal treatments, cupping, ear seeds and, when they are ready, acupuncture. Dr. Victoria loves introducing children to acupuncture and has a knack for making them feel comfortable with any treatment they get. Every effort is made to make your child feel comfortable and ready.
While many insurances do cover some acupuncture treatments, we are not currently taking insurance.
